Kroger Counter Sues the FTC

 

In this news segment, Sarah Delevan and Chelsea Stier discuss updates from the Kroger-Albertsons merger, and the FTC's lawsuit to block it.

On August 26th, the FTC's case began in a courtroom in Portland, OR. But a few days before on August 19th, Kroger filed a countersuit in Cincinnati trying to stop the FTC from moving forward.

We discuss both cases, the argument Kroger is making in the courts, and the broader impacts both of these trials will have on the broader food industry.
